KARA’s Japanese Handshake Event Was a Huge Success

KARA have recently made their way into the Japanese music scene with Mister, and have currently been taking the country by storm, holding a successful handshake meet with 10,000 fans!
According to DSP Media, on the 14th of August KARA held a handshake session to commemorate their first single sales in Shinkiba Studio, Tokyo, Japan.
A representative of DSP Media announced
“With 2 sessions in one day, there are 5,000 fans attending to each of these hand-shake sessions, totaling to 10,000 fans. It was very crowded in the event venue, and there are fans who are unable to get in, even the counterparts in Japan were surprised by it. Japan’s popular comedian Gekidan Hitori, who was well known to be an enthusiastic fan of KARA, wore a purple colored t-shirt with words ‘I Love KARA’ on it and attended both sessions”
On top of having top comedian Gekidan Hitori visit them, SS501’s Park Jungmin, who was also in Japan at the time for promotional activities, congratulated his juniors on their huge success at making it into the Japanese market. The KARA members themselves are said to be extremely grateful to him.
Its great to still see the family love despite SS501 leaving DSP Media, and to see KARA making such a big impact overseas. We wish them lots of  luck in continuing their Japanese promotions.
