We heard and witnessed many ugly stories involving borderline crazyoverzealous Kpop fans in the past but fan club members can also show a kinder and warmer side of them. Yesterday, Wonder Girls made their highly anticipated come back on Music Bank, among the loud cheers fromWonderfuls and… E.L.F all together. Super Junior fans learned the chants before the recording of the show and joined forces with Wonder Girls fans to support the girl group. It’s not the first time that people step out of their fandom to stand by other fans recently. During the wholeJaebom issue, Cassiopeans showed their sympathy to Hottests and in turn 2PM fans, among others, gave words of comfort to Dong Bang Shin Ki fans in the wake of the band’s indefinite hiatus in Japan.
We hope for more interactions like these between the different fan clubs as they show the best side of Kpop. Something most Jpop fans should reflect on, when fandom wars are an everyday occurrence there and fans of different members of the same band are always at each other’s throat…
