Korea has gone wild with participating in the nation’s largest online poll site, iPoll, where netizens may easily decide and manage the contents of their own polls. The site boasts a visitor amount of 250,000 to 300,000 people per day, and the average number of clicks is 50 million every four hours! Many fanclubs such as those belonging to Super Junior, Wonder Girls, 2PM, SHINee, SNSD, SS501, Big Bang, and DBSK have created popularity battles on the webpage, which could explain its massive amount of visitors.
Although iPoll has always been addictively popular, it has been gaining even more attention lately for its new poll, “Korea’s Top 100 Most Beautiful Males and Females.†Since we all know how much Korea loves its beautiful people, this should come as no surprise. The poll, which began on March 22, will be running until April 25.
So far, popular male nominees have included Lee Seung Gi, Park Jaebum, Min Kyunghoon, Song Seunghun, and You’re Beautiful’s Jang Geun Suk. Meanwhile, Wonder Girls’ leader Min Sunye, Wonder Girls maknae Ahn Sohee, Yoojin, always popular Lee Hyori, and Goo Hye Sun have earned the popular vote for the title of most beautiful Korean female.
