2NE1 Worked with Will.I.Am for an Upcoming Debut in the US

After revealing that their new album will be released in early September, 2NE1 attracted even more attention when management company YG Entertainment stated that the girls were given the chance to work with Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas for their upcoming release.
YGE CEO Yang Hyunsuk personally posted the following announcement on the girls’ official homepage: “2NE1 has been working with the [producer and] leader of Black Eyed Peas […] Will.I.Am for the past few months. He said that he would also personally help with 2NE1’s US debut.” Yes, that’s correct. The girls are coming to America too!
Yang Hyunsuk continued, saying, “After going from Los Angeles to [London, England,] we have completed recording for 10 songs over the course of three weeks. As we are [hoping to enter] the American market, all the songs were recorded in English. The recording went well as three of the members are fluent in English.”
Unforunately, 2NE1 does not have any plans of entering the US music world anytime this year. “The Black Eyed Peas are on a world tour [so 2NE1’s] US debut probably won’t happen this year. [However,] 2NE1 is planning on making their [Japanese] debut early next year, and will find a way to promote in three countries (Korea, Japan, America) at the same time.”
Will.I.Am himself asked to produce a song for 2NE1 after watching a music video of the girls. His recording work will be shown through Mnet’s second season of ‘2NE1 TV’ next month.
